Finding Joy in the Little Things

You got to meet Emily Skinner, the artist and owner behind Pedaller Designs, based in Alberta, Canada. Her line of stationery is inspired by bike rides, walks in the woods, and everyday adventures with her family. At the heart of everything she makes is one simple belief: cheerful, meaningful artwork has the power to brighten even the most ordinary day.
Pedaller Designs really started with her bicycle and a sketchbook. Emily used to take early morning rides with her little ones tucked into the bike trailer behind her. Those quiet moments outdoors filled her with creative ideas, and by the time she got home, she couldn’t wait to get them down on paper.
In 2016, Emily decided to turn those doodles and dreams into something bigger, a stationery and gift brand with a mission to spread smiles, one card and sticker at a time.
Designs Full of Color, Playfulness, and Heart
Every design starts with hand-drawn artwork, often inspired by Emily's wild bunch of boys and the adventures she has with them and her husband. Her Monster Birthday Card, which actually won a Louie Award, came straight from memories rowdy birthday parties. Her Butterfly Birthday Card was sparked by peaceful walks through mountain meadows, and her comic-themed series is a playful tribute to her superhero-obsessed toddler.
Emily's work is always colorful and full of personality, little pieces of joy meant to make people smile.
In her collection, you'll also find designs for book lovers, outdoor adventurers, and dog people. Each one has a personal story behind it: her sister who’s always finding time to read, her husband who plans their ambitious family backpacking trips, and her aunt whose dog is part of every family gathering.
