With October-December being the busiest time for Simon’s Soapbox, the time after Christmas and into January is a welcome rest. We can pause for a moment to reflect on the past year and identify some things we hope for the upcoming year. Here is what we hope to achieve in 2024.
- We hope to see our bar soap on more independent store shelves. Last year we worked launched new packaging for our bar soap. Bright colours, swirls, and the reminder that we make soap together have given our soap a distinct look and we’d love to see our products sold in more places this year.
- We hope to launch sample and half-size bar soap in our new packaging design.
- We hope to meet new businesses, especially where people with and without developmental disabilities team up to build things together.
- We hope to choose wisely. 2023 was full of new opportunities and we tried many things. Some of them were great and some were disappointing. This was exhilarating and exhausting. We’ve learned that not all opportunities are right for us and our business. While we continue to make soap together, we hope to learn together when to say yes and when to say no.
